A biosensor company with a point-of-care testing strip had a variable response to an analyte of interest. They were able to analyze the strip at a system level, but were unable to analyze the fundamental kinetics behind their signal.

Given its proven expertise in the biosensor, medical devices, and biopharmaceutical industries, AIC Technica was brought on board to carry out fundamental electrochemical analysis of the sensor and to model the kinetics behind the sensor response.  

AIC Technica was able to break the signal into the individual mass transport and kinetic parameters that were contributing to the signal. We were able to model diffusion, Michaelis-Menten kinetics, and electron transfer kinetics to clarify the rate limiting processes, and determine what were the interactions leading to the final signal.
