AIC Technica's synthetic chemists and materials scientists are able to synthesize electrochemically active molecules and materials for application in the solar cell and biosensor industries. We are able to tailor the redox potentials of couples, dye molecules, conducting polymers, semi-conductors etc to specifically match the thermodynamics and kinetics of the application.
Solar cells –photogalvanic
and photovoltaic
•••Redox
Mediators – Ruthenium, Osmium and Iron organometallic
complexes and organic molecular dyes for increased
photon efficency
• ••Nanoparticles
– AIC Technica has a unique microreactor
technology for the rapid synthesis and scale-up
of nanoparticles
• ••Testing
– Our labs can carryout rapid prototyping
of solar cells and assessment of new molecules and
materials

Biosensor Industry
Our sensor scientists are
experienced in synthesising: inorganic, organic, modified
polymers and conducting polymers for application in
biosensors.
Our scientists are able to
synthesize unique electron transfer molecules and
polymers for a range of biologically specific recognition
cascades, e.g. organometallic and inorganic mediators
for the glucose oxidase and glucose dehydrogenase
glucose cascades.

AIC Technica consultants are
unique in that we not only synthesize electrochemically
active molecules and materials, but we are also able
to characterize our molecules using our electroanalytical
department.
